Overall, we had a good game and it's our first win! 78-76. As expected, Guo Hui & Derrick performed well and that Jerome Pang has been positively contributing. Nonetheless, it's unexpected that key players such as Marvin Pang and Jason He have been disappointing. Also, I would hope that in the future, Dan (Ah Hao) would stay cool and be within the referees' good books. Personally, I feel that referees' have made several bad calls and also has not taken action in ensuring safety of the players (there's a pool of sweat) which some players accidentally slipped.
However... the most important thing would be...
On behalf of Knights Management, I apologize and personally responsible for screwed-ups situations on team formation. We will try to make sure that each and every players have adequate chances to play. It's really difficult to balance between getting a team to win and having everyone to play. My sincerest apology to Jia Jun, Brandon and Alvin Wu. Thanks to Alvin Yen for sacrifice his slot so that others could have a chance to play - TEAM COMES FIRST spirit !!!
For our upcoming 3 matches, I will field in ALL 5 JUNIOR PLAYERS (Jia Wei, Jia Jun, Brandon and Zi Xuan) to handle 1 quarter, and pick 7 SENIOR PLAYERS INCLUDING ONLY 1 COACH, while the other coach at sideline advising on game play. I expect to see that this Junior Team will be able to meet up to expectation. All statistics will be recorded and in the future, used to evaluate players' commitment and performance. For senior players not included, I would appreciate if you could come down to show your support towards the juniors and all attendance will be recorded.
In the next 3 matches, we will meet up the following team (and their previous 3 matches' result):
Serangoon Boiz (Win / Loss / ?)
MaraStark (Loss / Loss / ?)
Pirates Bravo (Loss / Loss / Loss)
Currently, the strongest team would be Team J (Straight Wins with Top Scorer Junichi Kataishi with 71 points), followed by Amigos, Spartans and Askals, each with 2 wins. Instagators seems strong also.
PS: Thanks To Our Die-Hard Supporters - Jocelyn, Jia Li, Ben, Bird, Jerome Tan and special gratitude to Cheng Khai for his effort & assistance in keeping statistics, and Xing Li for her help to become out team photographer.
